Weaving was never only about cloth.

It is a way of thinking.

Line crosses line. Tension creates form. Repetition becomes pattern. A simple grid can produce extraordinary complexity.

In weaving, structure is not hidden beneath the design.

Structure is the design.

That is what has fascinated me for more than ten years.

The loom sits at an unusual intersection: logic and intuition, mathematics and colour, precision and improvisation. It asks the eye to see relationships, the mind to understand systems and the hands to translate an idea into something physical.

Perhaps that is why weaving has never really belonged to the past.

Its principles have travelled from some of humanity’s earliest textiles to modern abstraction, programmable looms and the new generation of intelligent materials being developed today.

And yet the experience of weaving remains wonderfully human.

Thread still has to be touched.

Tension has to be felt.
